It began business as a trader in timber logs, sawmilling and the importing and exporting of timber wood, moulding products and sawn timber especially Ramin timber. This timber business included the Kiln Drying of timber and then further expanded into the importing and exporting of American Wood Timber in the late 1980s.
In 1990, Goodhill Industries Pte Ltd was formed in joint venture with a Japanese company to manufacture veneer rolls which are mainly exported to Japan.
In 1989, Goodhill Enterprise (S) Pte Ltd began trading in Cambodia and in 1993, "Goodhill Enterprise (Cambodia) Ltd was established and is now sole agent in Cambodia for products such as Castrol Oil motor oil, P & G products, Darlie tooth paste, Gestetner copying machines and office equipments, Philips electrical plugs and sockets, consumer lightings and MRCBs etc, Pilot pens, Staedler pencils, Conqueror paper products, Super-Max, Pakmaya, Malee, Kosma, Amano and IK products, various light and dark soya sauces, amongst many others.
In 1996, Goodhill Enterprise (S) Pte Ltd started to import timber doors from Indonesia and is now one of the largest distributor of timber doors in Singapore. At the same time, the company manufactures at its two locations in Singapore custom-designed doors and Fire-rated Doors to suit local and foreign requirements. The doors produced can be in Nyatoh, Merbau, Chenghai, Balau, and Teak wood.
In 2006, Goodhill Enterprise (S) Pte Ltd set up outdoor Merbau Wood Decking/Flooring division. In 2008, wood plastic composite (WPC) was also introduced to provide customers with a wider range of cost-saving choices, and specially for DIY enthusiasts.
